In Seminole County, Florida, a new ordinance requires muzzling of aggressive dogs. Called Reese’s Law, in memory of a Yorkshire Terrier who was killed by two large and aggressive dogs while out for a walk with her owner, the new responsible pet ownership regulations require the owners of dogs deemed aggressive by county animal control officers to obtain an “aggressive dog certificate.” The certificate must be renewed on an annual basis and requires that such dogs must be muzzled and leashed when outside with their owners.
