We’re Loving Hangdog Art’s Quirky T-Shirts and Fine Art Prints

You may have a dozen dog T-shirts in your dresser, but you probably don’t have one quite like a Hangdog. Coming all the way from Western Australia, Hangdog Art is a collection of wonderfully charming and disarming wearables and fine art prints. But these aren’t your typical sweet and cutesy dog things. There’s something contemplative, almost cerebral about them, whether you’re looking at the shirts (starting at $26.87), prints ($65), cards (starting at $5), or tea towels ($25).

“Sometimes you want to wear something that declares your dog leanings but doesn’t make you look like a crazy dog person,” said Megan Anderson, the artist and founder of Hangdog. “These are simple designs that capture the essence of dog with a light touch.” Meg takes inspiration from her “complex” Golden Retriever named Indi, though her designs feature dogs of various breeds and personalities.

T-shirts come in various sizes for men, women, and children. And the styles range from simple silhouettes and line drawings to quirkier stuff like a yoga-inclined downward-facing dog (shown at top). Prints are even more varied with almost a kaleidoscope of emotions, and tend to focus on the intent in a dog’s eyes and nose. Get the goods online at Hangdog Art for international shipping anywhere.
