This weekend, Queen Elizabeth II will be celebrating her 90th birthday (on June 11th to be exact — mark your calendars). To honor the occasion, the folks at Spoonflower created 90 Corgi plushies and one very life-size Queen body pillow to match!
The gesture has been documented in a series of comical photos over on the Spoonflower website. If having a pillow-ized version of your own dog tickles your fancy, check out The Spoonflower Handbook, which includes instructions for making your own pup pillow in addition to other clever project ideas!
So, what will become of these 90 cushion corgis once the Queen’s birthday celebrations are over? Spoonflower plans on sending two extra, specially-produced corgi pillows as a gift to the Queen — one each for the Queen’s two remaining corgis, Holly and Willow — with the hopes to one day present all 90 pillows at Buckingham Palace itself. If a palace visit proves impossible, Spoonflower may consider auctioning them off in aid of one of the Queen’s favorite charities.
