For the past month, the Dog Milk boys have had the pleasure of testing out one of LION + WOLF‘s modern dog beds — and let me tell you, this thing has been a hit! We have an array of beds scattered around the house, from sherpa fleece to canvas to memory foam, but this bed became the most coveted spot in the house pretty much from the moment it touched our floor.
LION + WOLF’s beds are all designed and handmade in the USA and come in a variety of bold, colorful patterns. We chose the Half Moon Bed in metallic gold for this review because, HELLO, it’s gold! This bed and its charcoal counterpart feature a limited edition, cotton/linen blend fabric sourced from Japan. Can you say “fancy”?!
Aside from being fancy, this fabric is super durable. After a month of near-constant use by our 3 dogs (plus a grab bag of guest dogs of various sizes), and multiple machine washes, it still looks brand new — and the overstuffed, polyester insert hasn’t lost a single bit of fluffiness. There are so many beds that seem all nice and puffy when you first get them, only to “deflate” after a few days or even a few hours. Not this bad boy! It maintains its Fluff Level 100 status like a true champion.
If you’re itching to change the bed’s look, they’re totally reversible, too. The solid color side is made from a polyester/cotton twill blend that is fully prepared to take on any amount of “bed digging” your dog dishes out. So, don’t hesitate to put this thing down, flip it and reverse it.
