Cards Against Humanity Gets a Canine Spin to Help Keep Shelter Dogs Warm

As a kid, I loved playing games. Clue, Scrabble, Monopoly… you name it, I was up for a round or two.

And then I grew up and no longer found games fun because of how seriously some adults take them. During my 20s, one friend in particular liked to gather a group for Trivial Pursuit. She and her partner would memorize the questions ahead of time and proceed to crush the rest of us. I passed on that invite more often than not.

I hadn’t actually played a game with other adults until recently, when Earth Rated sent me its limited-edition Cards Against Caninity. The unofficial expansion pack for Cards Against Humanity not only puts a canine spin on the wildly popular game, but it helps keep shelter dogs warm!

For a chance to win the game, simply nominate a U.S. or Canadian shelter to receive a case of Earth Rated fleece blankets. The company will give away 1,000 packs and 50 cases of blankets.

So, is Cards Against Caninty as fun as its inspiration? Which involves one player picking a question card and the others picking the answer he or she might like best? It is! I invited over my game-loving neighbors Dennis, Kate, and Bubba the Pug for a round. Dennis and Kate said it’s closer to the more family friendly Apples to Apples, while Bubba was more interested in the bag of treats I had handy to keep him and my two dogs, Spot and Dolly, entertained.
