I don’t want to alarm anyone, but the last calendar page of your 2015 dog-themed calendar is now in use. After scribbling January dates at the bottom of December’s page, I decided it was time to shop for a new one. Here are a few that I found that I thought you would enjoy as well.
1. Tales of New York Rescue Men
My search for the perfect calendar is over. As if attractive men supporting rescued animals aren’t enough for one gal to handle, a purchase of this calendar “bundle” includes two vegan chocolate candy bars. Be still my heart!
The Tales of New York Rescue Men calendar features 12 men who have all rescued their companion animals, including Law & Order‘s Danny Pino. 2. Lefty & Friends
In addition to being a regular product reviewer for Dogster, Lefty H. Farm mentors the foster pups at Blue Heron Farm in Field Store, Texas. Lefty’s 2016 calendar is full of adorable pictures of him and his friends, including co-mentor Mama Dog, and all proceeds go toward the farm’s work in rescuing and fostering homeless dogs. Buyers are told up front that a little of the money goes toward cookies for Lefty himself. It only seems fair!

3. Dog for Dog
Dog for Dog is a food and treat company with a very compelling mission: to feed as many shelter dogs as possible. Its mantra, “You buy one, we give one,” is self-explanatory. For each product you purchase from Dog for Dog, it donates its all-natural dog food and treats to shelter pups. The calendar is no different. A Dogsbar — all natural and healthy nutrition bars for dogs — will be donated for each calendar sold.

4. Lost Paws
Etsy seller Dayna DeMaine photographed the pups for this adorable calendar. It features dogs doing what they do best, catching cookies, making faces, and eating peanut butter. One hundred percent of the proceeds of each calendar sale go to the Lost Paws nonprofit organization, a local group in Phoenix, Arizona, that focuses on sterilization, education, and rescue for those animals in need.

5. Arni Says
Do you need a 2016 calendar right this second? No problem. Arni Foundation, a no-kill shelter in Daytona Beach, Florida, has you covered. Through the group’s Etsy store, you can purchase a beautiful downloadable calendar. All the pictures featured are of very happy dogs who have been rescued. Profits from purchases go to the Arni Foundation and similar rescue groups.

6. HandicappedPets.com
HandicappedPets.com provides products, services, and support that allow elderly, injured, and handicapped pets to lead healthy and happy lives. Its community is so strong that it received more than 37,000 votes on the pictures submitted of happy dogs wanting to be 2016 calendar pups!

7. Grey Hall

8. Compassion Without Borders
The wonderful people at Compassion Without Borders believe that animals deserve our help no matter which side of the border they are on. Due to its location in Santa Rosa, California, the border in question is the one between Mexico and the United States. Proceeds from calendar sales help with Compassion Without Borders’ work in dog rescue, free vet and wellness offerings, and spray/neuter clinics for animals in both countries.

9. Beauty and the Bully
This calendar supports Beauty and the Bully, Inc., a nonprofit that focuses on looking beyond what is on the outside. Understanding that both women and certain dog breeds can be misjudged due to their appearances, Beauty and the Bully is building a rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption center to support those often misunderstood.

10. Beth Whitlow
Whitlow has a unique way of understanding the individual personality of dogs, and it shows in her unique pet portraits. Whitlow’s 2016 calendar features 12 such whimsical pups all fancied up and ready to impart some lasting wisdom on the readers — very important things, like adorable Ms. April’s title: “Beauty as wondrous as mine is almost too great a burden to bear. Almost.”
