Sir Patrick Stewart has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, entering it as Captain Jean Luc Picard on Star Trek: TNG re-runs I watched with my dad. He’s made headlines for his charity work, as well as for his candid sense of humor and ability to not take himself too seriously (e.g. a certain lobster in a bathtub photo). Well, Sir Patrick is in the news again, this time for fostering an adorable, tail-wagging Pit Bull named Ginger.
Two-year-old Ginger is available for adoption through Wags and Walks, a non-profit organization committed to pulling family-friendly dogs from shelters. The rescue has a network of dedicated fosters who give the dogs safe and loving temporary homes until their forever home is found. Sir Patrick Stewart and his family have taken in Ginger, and, if the videos he’s posted are any proof, the connection between them is undeniable!
Ginger has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations. According to Wags and Walks, she is playful but gentle, and would do well in a home with children. Ginger is also a great kisser, which Sir Patrick can certainly attest to!
Apply to adopt Ginger through Wags and Walks, or view the rescue’s other adoptable dogs on its Facebook page. Adopt, don’t shop…make it so!
